Aimee and I had been talking about seeing some roller derby earlier this week. Oddly enough, the very next day, there was a Groupon to see the Brew City Bruisers.

It was a great experience. It combines two things I love - athletics with over the time goofiness. Everyone’s name is a pun. It’s, like, my perfect sport. Moby Nipps may have been my favorite player. That’s a pretty good one.

There was a “Camouflage Man” version of Green Man walking around. A sasquatch. And the halftime entertainment was a group of 60-something women dancing to hip hop. I may have to upload it - seeing is believing.

The women of roller derby may goof around with their names and play to the crowd beforehand, but they are athletic and have definite strategy throughout. If I had girl parts, I’d totally try out.

Hmm. Maybe there’s a screenplay there…
