• After finishing the Steve Jobs biography a couple of weeks ago, I have been trying to decide what to read next.
My favorite authors include Raymond Carver and John Updike. I absolutely love them. I’ve ready every short story by Carver, and nearly every short story by Updike. They have very distinct styles and voices. I’ve been craving more of that.
For years, I’ve had “The Stories of John Cheever” lying around. I’m a big fan of “The Enormous Radio” so I decided to finally give the collection a read. I’m nearly 200 pages into the almost 700-page collection, and absolutely love it. Cheever’s shorts are rather Updike-ean, if that’s a thing.
That new hammock is going to get so much use.
It’s going to be a good summer.

The B-to-the-D List

I still find dick jokes hilarious. By that, I of course mean detective jokes. Why?

Oh, and you can also find me on the Twitter as @BtotheD.
